My Mountains, My Songs is a compilation of original songs about the Hurley’s life growing up in the mountains of Western North Carolina. It features a little bluegrass, some old timey mountain, and some modern musical influence. The CD has been named a Paul Green Award Winner by the North Carolina Society of Historians. Four Grammy Award winners were involved in the project – three with Doc Watson’s Legacy album, and one with Ricky Skagg’s Bluegrass Rules album. Also, banjo legend, Raymond Fairchild, is featured on one cut. This CD features songs written by a real man of the mountains!
